The TVR Chimaera is a two-seater convertible sports car manufactured by TVR between 1992 and 2003. The name was derived from Chimera, the monstrous creature of Greek mythology, which was made of the parts of multiple animals.
The Chimaera was intended to be the long distance tourer of the TVR range and as such was longer, more spacious and had slightly softer suspension than its sister car the TVR Griffith. The car used the same backbone chassis as the Griffith and used the same derivatives of the Rover V8 engine.
This low mileage 5 Litre Chimera, as can be seen from the photographs, is impressive with its Porsche Arena Red paint work, complementary Magnolia Trim, white faced gauges and black hood. The car has a comprehensive service history and set of MOTs which all support the 38,000 recorded miles. It has had little use in recent years having covered only 10,000 miles since early 2010. There is an Accumate trickle charger mounted in the boot and the ICE is complete with CD changer which is also mounted in the boot.
In summary a well cared for 5 Litre Chimera which will not disappoint. Please give us a call to view the car which will be sold with a full service, 12 months MOT and warranty.
Please note that the Number Plate is not included in the sale.
