1997 V8 Cerbera (4.2) Halcyon Atlantis with recent Full Leather (48,510 miles) – £19,995.00

The TVR Cerbera was manufactured by TVR between 1996 and 2003. The name is derived from Cerberus the three-headed beast of Greek legend that guarded the entrance of Hades.

The TVR Cerbera was the third car manufactured by TVR under the leadership of Peter Wheeler (the first was the Griffith and the second was the Chimaera). The car represented three firsts for the Wheeler-led company:

  • The first hard-top—the Griffith and the Chimaera were both convertibles
  • The first 2+2—TVRs were traditionally two-seaters
  • The first to be driven by TVR's own engines—historically, TVR had purchased engines from mainstream manufacturers like Rover, Ford and Triumph

The prototype was introduced at the 1994 Birmingham Motor Show

This Cerbera was ordered from TVR on 31st October 1996 and first registered on 1st July 1997 It is powered by the AJP 4.2 litre flat plane crank V8 and is fitted with a Hydratrak (limited slip) differential.

Originally the car was supplied with Doeskin Ambla interior but was recently completely re-trimmed in full leather. The interior is now Magenta Blue over Cornfield White, beautifully complementing the outstanding Halcyon Atlantis exterior paint. At the same time the car was fitted with a new windscreen so does not suffer the common screen delamination!

This is a stunning looking Cerbera.

Mechanically this car is as good as it looks. A new clutch and slave were fitted at 39,600 miles, new outriggers and wax oiled in November 2011, and recently a new clutch master cylinder. The car has a FULL service and invoice history (including original TVR order acknowledgement), with all previous MOT’s substantiating the current mileage of 48,510.

Prior to delivery the vehicle will have been fully serviced, it will be taxed, and have a 12 months MOT and Warranty.
