We are pleased to bring to the market this very special, extremley attractive and of course rare TVR Taimar Turbo.
The factory produced 30 Taimar and M series turbo cars of which 3 were original special Taimar Turbo's to the SE specification. In addition to these specials, this car was converted from a Grey standard Taimar Turbo to a Red SE Specification, by the factory in 1982.
There is a comprehensive history file containing a copy of the original order sheet, details of all the previous owners, on of which was Sandra Tomlin the UK female Hill Climb Champion, and an abundance of receipts for work carried out since its manufacture.
The car was dry stored between 1993 to 1996. After which ownership changed, and the Broadspeed Blue Printed Ford V6 Essex engine with its Garrett Turbocharger, were rebuilt - the current capacity being of 3,024 litres.
The car has featured in a number of articles in Sprint, and been successfully campaigned at classic car shows winning the Sledmere Concourse in June 1997, the TVR Back Home Concourse for the Best M in May 1998 and gaining second place at Sledmere Concourse in 1999.
