We are thrilled to offer a small piece of TVR history for sale. We have a 420 SEAC Racer with a stainless chassis, Stainless rear arms and Stainless hub carriers. It also has part Kevlar
body.
The car now is Blue as can be seen from the pictures and now has a freshly rebuilt 4.5 from V8 Developments.
We have traced some history for the car and it raced as a 420 SEAC in the mid to late 80's until the car got banned from competing in class, at this point David Gerald TVR applied for road legal
status and registered the car as a 390 SE for a road based series. The car has had just 5 documented previous owners who have given fantastic pieces of history with the car either by telephone
conversations or email.
We are in the process of compiling the details and with the help of Sprint Magazine and the TVR archivist trying to find more information about this car.
The only sure thing is that the car raced as a 420 SEAC as per the pictures, the external door hinges make the car easily recognizable in the pictures.
In latter years the car has been used for sprints and hill climbs.
The car now has a V5 although not road legal, could be made so for an MOT.
The car is a great example of TVR developing cars and we believe it originally was an early prototype hence the Stainless Chassis etc.
